Description
Uppingham School is looking for an exceptional and ambitious teacher to join our Educational Leadership team as an Assistant Head: Teaching and Learning.
You will play a central role within the Uppingham leadership team and will help shape professional culture and pedagogical practices at the school. You will be responsible for setting the values, trajectory, and culture of teaching and learning for our 850 pupils, whilst ensuring that our 120 teaching colleagues aspire to the highest professional standards in leading and delivering the academic curriculum. Ultimately, we want you to outline what we stand for in terms of the learning environment we aspire to create across the School.
We are looking for an outstanding teacher, a visionary leader, and an experienced professional who will not settle for anything less than excellence. You will have a track record of first-rate teaching, curriculum leadership and organisation, as well as a rapport with pupils and colleagues that is vital to success in this role. You will be a flexible and creative thinker who is capable of motivating and inspiring others. You will also have the personal ambition to aspire to the Deputy Headship and/or Headship in due course.
