We are now seeking a Deputy Head who can play a key role ensuring that we lead the way in Pre-Prep and Prep School education and provide the highest standard of pastoral care to our pupils.

As Deputy Head, you will take responsibility for the effective operation of our pastoral systems to ensure the very best pastoral care provision. You will lead the Head of Boarding, Matrons, Nurses and pastoral staff and be responsible for engendering a culture and operational framework in which pupils are happy, safe and confident. A key requirement of the role will be the development and quality assurance of the School’s pastoral system in accordance with the School’s strategic aims and ensuring compliance with best practice in boarding and day education.

Leading by example, you will train and develop the pastoral practice of all staff through targeted CPD and robust performance appraisal in order to achieve our aim to develop a top-class pastoral environment which meets the welfare needs of pupils and exceeds the expectations of the market.

We are looking for an outstanding teacher, a visionary leader, and an experienced professional who will not settle for anything less than excellence. The appointee will be a strong, dynamic and inspirational person who is not afraid to take risks and think creatively. A track record of first-rate teaching, whole school pastoral experience, and experience of enriching extra-curricular programmes is equally important. Subject specialism is not a consideration.
