Description

Uppingham School is currently seeking an exceptional Teacher of Spanish and French to join our dedicated Modern Languages faculty from January 2024.

You will teach Spanish and French to our motivated and talented students across the school. Additionally, you will play a vital role in shaping the lives of our students, not only through your exceptional classroom teaching, but also through your involvement in our extensive co-curricular program. This will involve becoming a tutor to one of the School’s fifteen boarding houses, providing an opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of our students while immersing yourself in a vibrant and diverse community.

You will be a strong, dynamic character with excellent subject knowledge, a good degree, good classroom management skills and an appropriate rapport with pupils. Our Modern Languages faculty values versatility, with most teachers proficient in multiple languages. Therefore, we seek candidates who possess exceptional skills in teaching both Spanish and French. Ideally, you will be capable of teaching at least one of these languages up to A level, with the ability to teach both at this level being highly desirable. This role would suit an ECT or a teacher looking to broaden their experience in a large and busy faculty.

  • Free staff lunches in term-time
  • Free Westfield Healthcare
