Description

If you are an excellent administrator with astute technical skills, then an exciting opportunity exists to play a key role in an auxiliary capacity at Uppingham School’s Leonardo Centre, where Art, Design, Textiles, and Photography are all taught.

You will provide vital administrative support to the Director of the Leonardo Centre, as well as the Heads of Art, Textiles and Design. These duties will include taking minutes during departmental meetings, keeping departmental accounts, arranging trips, as well as undertaking general office duties.

You will also provide support in a technical capacity, supporting the Heads of Department within the Leonardo Centre and their staff. You will ensure that rooms and workshops are set up for lessons, equipment is maintained, and health and safety requirements are strictly adhered to. There will also be opportunities to provide technical support to pupils producing exam or free time projects, offering the chance for you to develop your teaching and pedagogic skills.

You will be a positive, organised and personable individual, with strong time management skills and the ability to work at pace. You will possess first-hand workshop experience, working in either an Art, Textiles or Photography studio and/or a DT workshop. Additional knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel is essential, along with a willingness to learn new skills and undertake training where necessary.
