Description
Uppingham School is seeking a hard-working and motivated individual to join their cleaning services team as Assistant Cleaning Manager.
As Assistant Cleaning Manager, you will lead a team of Team Leaders and Domestic Cleaners, supporting your staff in the delivery of a first-class cleaning service. You will assist in the cleaning of the school’s houses and central buildings, ensuring that this is done to the highest of standards. In addition to this you will undertake other duties, including serving and presenting boarding house meals, as well as assisting with laundry.
You will be a keen and attentive individual, with excellent communication skills. Possessing excellent interpersonal and team-working ability, you will be capable and comfortable leading a team, providing astute leadership where necessary. Also capable of working independently, you’ll possess a keen eye for detail as well as excellent organisational skills.
In addition to term-time School operations, the school operates a significant vacation conference business. All operations are carried out Monday to Sunday. This position is 35 hours per week, or as required by the operational demands of the role. Weekend support is to be worked on a shared rota basis, with rare evenings included.
