Description

Maidwell Hall, a co-educational boarding and day school situated in a beautiful part of Northamptonshire seeks a Head of Boarding / Houseparent to join the pastoral leadership team.

As Head of Boarding, you will play a crucial role in the management and leadership of Maidwell’s residential boarding house. The most important feature of the Head of Boarding’s role is to identify and meet the needs of each and every pupil in their care. Each boarder needs to be given a sense of community, inclusion and above all safety and security.

Alongside the pastoral staff, the Head of Boarding will ensure the delivery of an outstanding boarding experience, including a comprehensive health and welfare service, compliance with all regulations relating to boarding and safeguarding and the physical and mental wellbeing of the pupils in their care.

As a member of the pastoral leadership team, you will supervise the house staff and support the Senior Management Team in implementing school policies relating to boarding and pastoral care.

For the right candidate an application for this role in combination with the Director of Sport role could be an option. We encourage families to apply and, where appropriate, we will look to identify a suitable role for the partner of the Head of Boarding/Houseparent.

To be considered for this opportunity you will have experience of working in residential care of young people and working with young people within an education setting. Knowledge and understanding of the Children’s Act and Keeping Children Safe in Education is essential.
