Description
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and outstanding teacher of Economics and Business to play a key role creating the best and most innovative Economics and Business Department in the country at one of the UK’s leading schools.
Economics and Business are thriving subjects at Uppingham and our pupils enjoy challenging, inspiring and intellectually stimulating lessons. The Head of Economics and Business will take these subjects to an even higher level and will be responsible for the strategic leadership and development of the subjects and the department.
The Head of Economics and Business will lead by example, ensuring that Uppingham’s Economics and Business teaching is creative and inspirational, and will keep staff abreast of educational developments so that the most innovative courses are chosen, planned and delivered.
We are looking for a visionary leader who will not settle for less than excellence, who is capable of inspiring and leading pupils and staff.
The appointee will also be a strong, dynamic and inspirational character with unimpeachable subject knowledge, a strong degree and exemplary classroom management skills.
