Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and dedicated Sports Turf Technician to contribute to the upkeep of prestigious sporting facilities at one of the UK’s leading independent schools.
As part of our Estates team, you will be be responsible for maintaining 56 acres of high-quality playing fields and sports facilities, ensuring they are safe, functional and visually appealing for a wide range of sporting activities. Your day-to-day work will involve tasks such as mowing, fertilising, aerating, irrigating, repairing turf surfaces and maintaining artificial pitches and courts. You will also manage equipment, complete scheduled maintenance and liaise with staff to support field usage.
We are looking for someone with proven experience in sports grounds maintenance, including pitch marking, turf care and weed control, who is confident operating a variety of machinery and equipment.
A full, clean driving licence is essential, as you will be operating vehicles around the School’s estate.
While qualifications such as PA1, PA2, PA6 spraying certificates and an NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf are desirable, they are not essential.
