Description
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher to play a leading role in the delivery of Uppingham School’s rich, complex, and diverse co-curricular programme.
As befits a boarding school with our holistic approach to education, every pupil at Uppingham engages with our rich, complex, and diverse co-curricular programme. The Assistant Head: Co-curricular will build on our previous success in this area and will continue to oversee the quality, development, delivery, and effectiveness of the School’s varied co-curricular programme.
You will ensure that Uppingham is known as the School that provides the best and most imaginative co-curricular experience in the country. To achieve this, you will:
- Direct the strategic vision for the School’s co-curricular programme and enrichment provision
- Line manage the key providers of the co-curricular programme
- Strategise, plan, monitor and evaluate staff participation in the delivery of the co-curricular programme
- Build and oversee the school’s annual calendar
We are looking for an outstanding teacher, a visionary leader, and an experienced professional, with a track record of first-rate teaching, curriculum leadership and organisation. You will need previous experience of senior leadership at a school which offers a significant co-curricular programme and will demonstrate experience of line managing the provision of music, sport, and drama. Excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills are also essential, along with the ability to build a strong rapport with students.
