Description

Uppingham Is seeking a Chaplain to lead the religious and spiritual life of the school.

Being Chaplain at Uppingham is a wonderful opportunity.  We want to be led by someone who has the intellectual, spiritual, and emotional depth to create an atmosphere where everyone in our school – from whatever faith perspective they come from – feels welcome and valued.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role supporting all members of the community in developing their character, beliefs, and practical responses to spiritual, personal, moral, practical, and existential questions.

Our Chapel is intrinsic to the process of creating our collective spirit of warmth.  Being able to gather together five times a week as a whole school is an immense privilege.  More broadly, the Chaplain is a key part of Uppingham’s pastoral life and will help young people thrive to become the positive change the world needs.

The role commands a generous remuneration package, commensurate with the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate, with accommodation included.

Closing date: Thursday 2 October 2025 at 9.00am.

Interviews: Thursday 9 October 2025.
