Uppingham School is seeking an experienced Chaplain to lead the religious and spiritual life of the school.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role supporting all members of the community in developing their character, beliefs, and practical responses to personal, moral, practical, and existential questions.

Being Chaplain at Uppingham is no easy task. The incumbent needs to have the intellectual and emotional intelligence to create an atmosphere where everyone in our school feels welcome.

Our Chapel is intrinsic to the process of creating our collective spirit of warmth. Being able to gather together five times a week as a whole school is an immense privilege.

More broadly, the Chaplain has a wonderful opportunity to be a key part of our pastoral life. Ultimately, the Chaplain is part of a team who will help young people become the positive change the world needs.
