Description
Uppingham School is looking for a proactive and meticulous Compliance Technician to support the maintenance and statutory compliance of our 125-acre estate, home to a unique blend of historic architecture and modern facilities.
Working within our Estates & Facilities team, you will carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) across a broad range of critical building systems and assets. From emergency lighting and fire detection systems to ventilation and alarm mechanisms, your focus will be on ensuring our estate remains safe, compliant, and operational at all times.
Using a Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system, you will receive and manage your workload efficiently, ensuring inspections, testing and record-keeping are all completed to a high standard.
You will need previous experience of working in a similar estates environment, preferably within a large and varied site or within a school or further education setting. You will be a proactive problem solver with a keen eye for detail, strong IT and organisational skills, and an understanding of the care needed when working with historic buildings. Excellent communication, interpersonal and record-keeping skills are also essential.
