Description
Uppingham School is seeking a proactive and meticulous Fire Door Technician to ensure the safety, functionality, and statutory compliance of our beautiful 125-acre estate.
As a key member of our Estates team, you will carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance across a wide range of critical building systems and fire safety assets, including fire doors and fire dampers. Your work will be central to maintaining a safe and legally compliant environment, that ensures the safety of all students, staff, and visitors.
Using a Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system, you will receive and manage your workload efficiently, ensuring inspections, testing and record-keeping are all completed to a high standard.
About you
Previous experience within a similar estates environment is desirable, but not essential. You will be a proactive problem solver with a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and an understanding of the care needed when working with historic buildings. Excellent communication, interpersonal and record-keeping skills are also essential.
