Uppingham is looking for an ambitious HR professional to take the next step in their career and join our growing People and Culture team. Reporting to the Head of People Operations, you will play a key role in supporting managers across the school, providing thoughtful, confident and timely advice on a wide range of people matters. The role has a strong focus on employee relations, offering the opportunity to manage more complex casework while continuing to develop your knowledge and judgement in a supportive and collaborative environment.
About you:
You will bring experience of working in a busy HR function, with a good understanding of employment law and a passion for getting the best outcomes for people and teams. The ability to build trust, communicate clearly and manage sensitive issues with care will be essential. This is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to move beyond an advisory role into true people partnering, with the support and guidance of an experienced senior team. Ideally you will hold, or be working towards, a CIPD Level 5 qualification, or bring equivalent experience gained in a people-focused HR role, together with a commitment to professional growth.
