Description
Maidwell Hall is looking for a committed, experienced, and passionate Sous Chef, to join the school on a full-time basis.
Working at the heart of our catering team, you will prepare, cook and serve a range of meals at breakfast, lunchtime and dinnertime, ensuring that all food is compliant with allergens and Natasha’s law. In addition to your culinary duties, you will also assist with a range of administrative, maintenance and logistical duties, including:
- Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence
- Placing orders, assisting with deliveries and undertaking stock checks
- Maintaining kitchen records
- Monitoring and recording temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets and serveries
- Assisting with daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans
You will be a confident chef who loves to put a smile on people’s faces through your exceptional culinary skills. You will possess previous experience and culinary qualifications relevant to the role of Sous Chef, pairing this with an excellent allergen awareness. You will also be capable of working under minimal supervision and at a commercial pace in a clean, efficient and logical manner.
Working hours are 40 hours per week, with shifts ranging from 5am to 9pm, on a 5 from 7 rota.
