Description

This is an exceptional opportunity to join Uppingham’s respected Classics department, where Latin holds a central place in the curriculum from Year 7 through to A Level. You will teach intellectually engaged pupils across multiple year groups, working within a specialist team in dedicated facilities at the heart of the school.

You will also be a tutor to one of our boarding houses, where you will contribute meaningfully to pastoral care and the wider life of the school community. About you

We seek a highly accomplished Latin teacher with strong subject knowledge, a good degree, and demonstrable excellence in the classroom. You will possess excellent communication skills, effective classroom management, high professional standards, and well-developed pastoral instincts. An appreciation of boarding school life and a willingness to contribute generously to the wider school community are essential. Teaching Classical Greek and/or Classical Civilisation at A Level would be advantageous.
