Description
The role
Uppingham School presents a rewarding part-time job opportunity for a dedicated Minibus Driver to contribute to our Home-to-School service on a new bus route from Stamford to Uppingham, starting in September.
As well as contributing to the well-being and safety of our students, your responsibilities will also include conducting pre-journey safety checks, maintaining vehicle tidiness, and performing regular light maintenance tasks such as oil and fluid checks, vehicle washing, tyre pressure checks, and fuelling. Additionally, you will support various co-curricular activities, driving minibuses and other school vehicles.
Regular training and testing are integral to the role, ensuring you remain up to date with safety standards.
About you
Candidates must hold a full UK or UK-approved driving licence for at least 24 months. You should have a D1 (or equivalent) entitlement on your licence and meet DVLA medical and eyesight requirements.
Flexibility and the willingness to work on an ad hoc basis are also important qualities.
Hours of work
There are three positions available, working hours are on Monday to Saturday between, 06:00 – 08:00 in the morning and 18:00 – 20:00 in the evening, plus two additional hours for vehicle maintenance, for more information please refer to the role description.
