Description
Uppingham School is seeking an ambitious and driven Graduate Sports Performance Coach (Cricket) to join our high-performing Sports Department. This is an exceptional opportunity to launch your coaching career within one of the UK’s leading co-educational independent schools, working within a well-established cricket programme that supports participation, aspiration and elite player pathway development.
You will lead and deliver cricket coaching across multiple age groups, contribute to scholar and high-performance programmes, and play a key role in matchday planning, player development and programme organisation. Working closely with the Director of Cricket and wider coaching team, you will help create an environment that combines technical excellence, performance ambition and strong pastoral care, while also being fully involved in the wider life of a busy boarding school community.
About you
Educated to degree level (or equivalent), you will hold a recognised cricket coaching qualification and have experience of coaching and leading young people, ideally with exposure to club, pathway or performance environments. You will be confident designing engaging, purposeful training sessions that support technical, tactical and mental development, and have a keen interest in helping players progress within structured performance pathways. Organised, articulate and committed to high standards, you are motivated to build a long-term career in cricket coaching or performance sport and are excited by the opportunity to take genuine responsibility within an ambitious and supportive programme.
