Having the ability to convey both the technique of singing and the interpretative opportunities in music of all genres is essential, and it is expected that you will have secure keyboard skills.
The choral tradition is a central part of the school’s community and you will encourage singing pupils to be part of this heritage by developing their musicianship and vocal technique skills to access this experience.

If you would like to be part of our proud musical heritage and continued success, we would be delighted to hear from you.
We offer our visiting music teachers a competitive hourly rate. In addition, where staff live more than 20 miles away from Uppingham, a mileage allowance is payable for the return mileage from home to Uppingham for each full teaching day.
About You
You will require significant experience in teaching a range of ages and abilities as well as experience as a professional performer at a high-level.
The ability to tailor vocal techniques so that pupils can be effective as both a soloist and as part of an ensemble is equally important.
You will also need competent piano skills.
